  Bathroom upgrades can be launched into action by many causes; plumbing leaks, dripping faucets or style changes are a few.   Lighting and ventilating fans are important details in a bath remodel. New building codes will require mechanical ventilation. Operational windows are important. A window replacement upgrade will achieve a higher efficiency than the older unit. Obscure glass is another option that could improve privacy without diminishing natural light.
  Small and cramped bathrooms are not much of a retreat. Expanding the space can be achieved by robbing space from adjoining closets or bedrooms. A small bump out of only one or two feet can make a world of difference in a small bathroom. In any remodel every square foot has a critical impact on the overall quality of the finished space.
